Waffle house is fast service. It was very clean and you can see the kitchen!
Perfect little place to stop and grab something to eat when you are traveling.
If you are a foreigner this would be a great idea if you want to eat something traditional for breakfast. It's affordable and since it's a chain you can find a lot of them near the highways.
They are clean and friendly. I love to watch my food get cooked. The menu is not great if you are watching calories.
$2 for horrible "coffee" so I turned it back. I ordered to go and the toast is old and hash brown not cooked well. People are nice.
It has traditional American food, and the manager was the friendliest person. She welcomed us with a big smile and made sure we loved our visit. It seemed like she just loved being there and that was refreshing to see.
We had waffles & bacon, that the cook right on the spot. And another dish of waffles, scrambled eggs with tomatoes chunks and ham. Both with never ending coffee and cream......which is always good when you are on the road !
The cooks were amazing, and there were two servers on shift, one with long hair (the one I wish we would have had) and the other.... It was about 12:30 am when we got there, we were starving and it was the only thing open, we got no greeting (not by her anyway) her asking us what we wanted to order was "what do you want" every time we said thank you when she would bring our food she wouldn't say a word, we had to ask her for creamer with the coffee, she half slammed the bill in front of me. We are extremely polite people considering I'm in the industry and my boyfriend used to be. Absolutely zero customer service skills. I'm in the service industry and always over tip. Unfortunately she only got a 10% tip because she was that bad!! If it weren't for the fact that I am in the industry she would have got a .14 tip. I also asked if I could get a refill in a to go cup and she slams down an empty cup and lid so I can put the quarter of a cup of tea I already had in my regular cup in there. I almost went to the other girl who wasn't our server and handed her a $5 bill just because she was sweet and had personality. And gave our server a piece of my mind. But I thought "there's this going on, I won't be that mean"
